GANT recently opened the doors of a brand new flagship store in Munich, Germany. The store is situated in one of Munich’s oldest buildings, built in 1430 and one of the few remaining premises of that age. Each of the three floors resembles the well-known GANT experience. PRIMA was responsible for the entire project management and realization of this project. Covering over 800 m², this is GANTs largest flagship store in the world, after New York.
Each detail of the design was communicated with the designer and the customer. The old parts of the building are purposely integrated in the design. Antique accessories enhance the atmosphere of the location. Of course, keeping the location future proof should also not be overlooked. Stylish internet-based tablet stands help to serve customers optimally.
An important issue in realizing the flagship store is the Californian sustainability standard, which is respected in every aspect. Therefore, there are numerous amounts of re-used of materials. For instance by using parquet out of 19th and 20th century French land houses on the ground floor. Furthermore, a lot of re-used furniture was implemented by PRIMA, as well as LED lights to help save energy.
At the official opening, the press was invited along with all sorts of guests out of the fashion industry, (former) sportsmen, architects and celebrities, to see the final result.
