Time Art, a multi-brand watches and accessories retail concept was launched in the UAE (opened in Dalma Mall Abu Dhabi while other locations are already planned). Initiated by a regional retailer and designed by Retail Access design agency, the concept excites the younger generation and proposes a panel of 16 fashion brands some of which are introduced for the first time in the region.
The vision for Time Art is to become a leader in what is progressively becoming a well-defined market for watches and accessories. Inspired by the young, fashion-focused, novelty-seeking and ambitious urban consumers, Time Art was created to remedy the lack of a real place to present branded designer timepieces and accessories in their right environment. Shuja H.Jashanmal, Director said: “Time Art brings to the consumers a collection of leading designer brands that are offered in a modern, inviting and urban retail environment. The focus is on the “now” and on a “that’s cool” environment and shopping experience!”
The unique collection of fashionable watches and accessories sold in Time Art is a response to the niche demand that neither traditional department stores nor other specialty stores could fully accommodate. Therefore, it deserves its own, bespoke retail space. Shuja quotes a comment received recently from the owner of one of the leading brands they work with – “I can tell you that the Time Art concept is actually filling a gap in the market. Qualitative fashion accessories brands needed such a multi-brand concepts… and customers too.” Time Art Director adds: “This is a true re-enforcement of our market findings and the task we set ourselves.” Retail Access was briefed to develop an innovative retail design concept that would bring the category vision to life. The main challenge was to create a strong identity while taking into consideration the personalities of the 16 renowned fashion brands including POLICE, MASERATI, MICHAEL KORS, CERRUTI and CHRISTIAN LACROIX.
