Having already established a retail network that spans the majority of the planet’s leading fashion capitals, it was just a matter of time before Mykita would open up shop in New York City. Similar to the brand’s other stores, the interior design is a quirky blend of mass-produced, ready-made objects removed from their original context, and combined with purpose-built furniture.
A clever stage-like lighting concept adds visual drama to make make it stand out. The whole retail concept is surprisingly flexible to the extent that it easily adapts to its surroundings, in this case an art déco-style factory building. Especially for the opening Mykita designed a capsule collection that’ll only be available at this store.
