Is this the future Apple Beats Studio Headphones? Not quite just yet but close enough. After yesterday’s official announcement of Apple’s $3 billion purchase of Beats by Dr. Dre, one of the immediate questions on people’s minds was how will Apple re-design the Beats’ popular headphones. However, you won’t need to look far for the answer. If Apple’s past designs are indicators, then the new Snarkitecture x Beats By Dr. Dre Studio Headphones might just a sample of things to come in the near future.
In all-white with minimal branding or other obstructions, the limited edition Beats By Dr. Dre Studio Headphones from Snarkitecture is a study of simplicity as well as performance driven design. As a finishing touch, the New York City-based architectural/design collective replicated a smaller version of their signature Pillow furnishing. While shaped to depict a certain softness, the Pillow is actually Snarkitecture’s version of the trompe l’oeil and molded in solid gypsum concrete. A trifecta of art, design and gadgetry, the Snarkitecture x Beats By Dr. Dre Studio Headphones will be in store starting on Monday, June 9th, with a limit of 1000 pairs available worldwide.
