Similar interests can often lead to friendship and in this case, a guided fly fishing trip to explore local Puget Sound waters turned into a partnership and collaboration. The guide, Dave McCoy, explained his lifelong dream of opening a fly fishing/outdoor shop in West Seattle. When the time was right, Dave reached out, we had beers, and I went home and sketched what today is Emerald Waters. It is a space filled with hot rolled steel and warm woods. Products and apparel are displayed in ways no other fly fishing location has done before.
