The interior design of Fashion on Top, in Foshan China, has crafted the space to reflect the brand’s modern luxury philosophy and created a canvas to showcase the collection of women’s wear and accessories. The initial design idea is inspired by the word “top” from the name of the brand and the concept is directly associates the image of “sky”. The natural celestial phenomenon, aurora, has provided a great inspiration on making the curving and smooth-surfaced interior wall structure; and its flickering and magnificent characteristic expression perfectly echoes the luxurious fashion motif and guides the way of implementing the lighting to interior space.

To increase the spatial quality and functionality of the space is an essential task of interior design and in this case the design has enhanced the perception of value and uniqueness of the fashionable boutiques. The matte polished concrete floor has provided a clean backdrop to support the pearlescent white sculptural wall structure. The walls have been built as ripped and rolled forms to establish the dynamic spatial to represent the metaphor of paper crafting, and at the bottom of the walls there has been implemented seductive lighting effects to minimise the visual weight of the walls.
