This eclectic interior belongs to the ‘Bite & Go, Deli Cafe‘ located in the heart of Kiev. Designed by Yaroslav Galant, the local studio has given the eatery an industrial feel where the bold eclecticism merges with refined materials and technologies. Blending elements of traditional styles with the upcycling of furniture, the approach of giving materials a new functional quality has been a consistent method for example, the ceramic insulators- a visually interesting material was brought from a factory warehouse and has become the mountings for tables. The spatial area of the deli is narrow and long, which made it complex for integrating sufficient amount of seating while incorporating ergonomic planning.

Featuring an industrial and raw ambiance throughout, this is seen in original brick walls which have been purposely left exposed. Meanwhile metal columns, open air ducts, an external electrical wiring, armored glass and concrete detailing are additional elements. Furthermore, the distinctive wavy floor was developed by the designer where the ash timber boards have been coated with an eco-friendly oil-wax, as well as all other wooden elements of an interior.
