Toronto-based retail experts pellow+associates architects have recently completed a significant rejuvenation of Hudson’s Bay Company’s 79,500 square foot retail store at Hillcrest Mall in Richmond Hill, Ontario, which dramatically modernizes the look of the more than 300-year-old Canadian retailer.
The dramatic new design uses warm, natural materials in bold, contemporary ways to evoke modernity, luxury and the firm’s storied history. The strikingly modern paneled façade with glass entrance allows clear visual access into the shop, framed by warmly lit wooden columns.
pellow+associates will bring this new aesthetic to the Bay’s store at Yorkdale Mall in Toronto beginning in January 2016.
