Tareef is chain of restaurants in Pune, Maharashtra that serves authentic Mughalai cuisine and has a raw, old world charm. They approached The Design Grid to redesign the logo for their Pimple Saudagar branch, their largest branch and they wanted to rebrand it under the name QABIL–E–TAREEF while still being recognizable as a part of the Tareef chain.

The identity is inspired by wooden block print motifs of India. The logo is a royal, elite, minimal form that evokes a sense of exclusivity, and authenticity while having its roots in traditional Indian forms. The logo has its own individual identity while the type is carefully chosen to be relatable to the original logo.
