Leading Italian furniture manufacturer Chateau d’Ax selected Area-17 to rethink its sale spaces for both the European and Asian markets. This led to the design of fifteen showrooms located throughout the world in renowned European and Chinese cities, among which is the showroom in Shanghai.

The interior design is finely tuned as the contrast between hard surfaces and the softness of Chateau d’Ax upholstery. The exquisite craftsmanship of the furniture as well as the superior quality of fabrics is enhanced by the industrial appeal of raw materials such as iron, wood, and quicklime.

Items are staged as if they were part of a real living room. The showroom is conceived as a welcoming and comfortable environment, where clients are able to experience the atmosphere and the furniture they are about to purchase.
