Located on the busiest avenue of Barra da Tijuca, Peepou store now has a brand-new address, right in front of a high pedestrian flow area. With the expansion of the brand, the concept of upcycling has been used to connect with the inspiration of the original project – the flower gardens of Provence (France) – in the new shop developed by Adoro Arquitetura.

More than 900 PET plastic bottles have been reused, rather than the usual fate of being thrown away in the environment, and transformed into delicate flowers. Hanging from the ceiling in wired modules, a total of 2,500 small flowers were individually hand painted in gold, nude pink and white by craft artist Rita Aranha, granting the personality and visual identity of the brand. To minimize the impact on environment generated by the renovation, the original granite floor with a polished finish, got a semi-finished treatment that gave the stone a natural and slightly grayish appearance. This avoided the disposal of about three tons of rubble and gave the space a modern and informal atmosphere.

The lighting project added value to the products and enhanced customers visual comfort, with the use of led lamps with warm color temperature. The new displays add a feminine touch by replacing vertices by curves. Made out of iron bars, they have been given a bath of gold automotive paint. The furniture, made of MDF and coated in Freijo light wood, offers the experience of a comfortable and contemporary environment, even to a 40m2 shop.
