Mr. Fish Fish Head Noodle Restaurant located on Sunway Pyramid Mall, one of the top 10 shopping mall in Malaysia. A casual local breakfast found in local during the day. Mr. Fish serve up their main food, fish head noddle soup which is a very old skool breakfast with a modern approach. The brief was to transform their first branch into a brand new store that combine both traditional and modern. The outcome is a modern minimal with soft touch contemporary space, yet providing enough seating to its target audience. The total area of the shop is about 2000sqft that can occupied approximate 100 pax of customer.
In this store, it is divided into 3 main zone. First is the alfresco area which create a connection with external; second is the internal main seating area follow by the enclosed kitchen area. Materials selection are kept on minimal. Implementation of both soft and solid elements into this space; where internal floor with cement texture porcelain tiles while alfresco blend with soft palette blue encaustics cement tiles create transcending of old skool style (traditional breakfast in local market) in a modern shopping mall.
The shopfront of it is about 52ft where partially of it is enclosed as kitchen is behind it. Railing pattern design is one of the significant icon to their branches. Soft palette blue encaustics cement tiles being applied here to make it more welcoming. Once enter the internal shop, there is an eyes catching signage on timber box up round shape selectec soft blue laminate with conceal light from all around. The details part of it is the bronze inlay in between it where soft and solid meet each out here.
Apart from that, new materials of vinyl brick tiles replace red brick block create a soften mood to the space. On the other wall, full high bronze mirror with conceal light help to emphasize the space. Soft material of wallpaper in baby blue chosen soften the solidification of the overall space.
