The open layout created views through to the working bakery beyond, allowing a sensory interaction with the baking process. The front of house is a compact but well thought out space, combining traditional bakery materials of wood, white marble and stone with sleek detailing. Brass highlights, including a large gold convex mirror referencing the moon (Luneur in French) creates an iconic touch to the shop. Clean lines on the ceiling and shelving give way to distressed textured walls. A painstakingly hand laid mini-brick terrazzo floor creates a dramatic design feature contrasting against the simpler wood and white surfaces. Brass strips elegantly run through the floor directing your eye and subconsciously framing the days fresh goods.
