Family-owned and operated vineyard is located in Wilyabrup, in the heart of the Margaret River, Western Australia. With the abundance of bees in their vineyard, the name ‘Jilyara’ was inspired by ‘Djilyaro’ meaning ‘place of bees’ in the indigenous Noongar language and the original name of the property. From the great grandfathers on both sides, down through their family tree, all the men have William within their name. One of the favourite sections of the Jilyara vineyard is also known as ‘William’, to honour both their past and their future – so ‘Williams’ Block’ became the appropriate name for their premium wine of the portfolio.
