Following the majority stake by investment fund Style Capital in 2107, womenswear brand forte_forte has seen an accelerated expansion in global retail. Headed by siblings Giada and Paolo Forte, the company has opened boutiques in Paris and London, the retail and fashion epicentres of two of its biggest markets, and now, a third outpost has opened in Tokyo. The new store is situated on the third floor of Ginza Six, a plush multi-storey shopping complex in the Ginza area of town. Occupying a modest corner unit, the setting has been designed by forte_forte‘s in-house design team and is awash with travertine marble. The back wall is clad with large slabs dotted with fragments of polished brass and coloured mosaic glass produced by an ancient Venetian foundry, and the sales desk and other furnishings are also crafted from the same material. In stark contrast, a side wall enclosing a fitting room and a small storage space, is covered in gold leaf which ties in with the brass cabinet and wires which protrude from the ceiling and floor, and which serve to hang apparel pieces. The new forte_forte store carries the brand’s full range of women’s apparel, accessories, shoes, bags and jewellery pieces.
