Head in the Clouds is an All Day Brunch restaurant concept in Shanghai, created for food lovers and daydreamers. It’s a laidback place to enjoy delicious and captivating food, while relaxing and soaking up the moment. The design concept has a nod to vintage music, since the owner is a musician who has an affinity for cassette tapes. A special wall is dedicated to the owner’s old cassette tapes, an opportunity for him to showcase and play his cassette tapes collection. To complement this music and food concept, DOHO created a raw industrial style by stripping the existing site to expose the existing load-bearing concrete walls and columns. This industrial backdrop was further accented by acid-etched metal and stained glass.
