Fashion insiders have come to know Shenzhen as a forward city on a par with the taste level of China‘s leading fashion and lifestyle hubs Shanghai and Beijing, and as such, many a leading luxury brand has opened up shop here to cater to a soaring demand, including Acne Studios. The Stockholm-based fashion brand has shifted gear, and has now inaugurated a second retail space in the city at Shenzhen MixC shopping centre. The store occupies a spacious 458 sqm. (4,930 sq.ft.) spread across two levels and features an interior design by Swedish architect and longtime collaborator Christian Halleröd. The store façade has a very transparent and high-tech look with a Spider-glass-curtain-wall system, meanwhile, anodised and raw metal can also be found with touch of pink inside.

The flooring, staircase and pillars are all captured in a rough, bush-hammered pink granite, while the walls and ceilings come in contrasting white high gloss lacquer. The furniture pieces, in hues of pink and red leather, alongside with customised tufted rugs, are crafted by London-based designer Max Lamb. Similar to many other Acne Studios store, the light fixtures have been designed by Benoît Lalloz, a designer and light artist from Paris. The premises are dotted by specially designed mannequins by Daniel Silver. Additionally, a new denim cube installation is introduced to display Acne Studios denim collection in the store. The new Acne Studios store carries the brand’s full range of women’s and men’s apparel, accessories, shoes, bags and eyewear.
