Dior has stepped up its retail presence in the Land of the Rising Sun, not only one of its most important markets, but has also always been a huge inspiration for its legendary founder Christian Dior. The iconic Paris-based fashion house has numerous boutiques, shop-in-shops and counters nationwide, but continues to see room for growth, and very recently, inaugurated a new retail space at Narita Airport, one of Tokyo‘s two international air hubs. Occupying an airside unit at Terminal 2, it rubs shoulders with the boutique rubs shoulders with retail spaces of peers from fashion’s upper echelon, such as Gucci, Burberry, Prada, Bottega Veneta and Chanel. The interior design, created by the brand’s in-house design team, is modelled after the Dior flagship store on swanky avenue Montaigne in the French capital. The setting sees a palette of elegant tones of white and beige, featuring graphic Cannage-inspired lines on some of the walls, parquet flooring and elegant yet homey seating arrangements. The new Dior store carries a selection of items of Dior‘s women’s and men’s collections. © superfuture
