Dior has had a high-profile presence on Tokyo‘s swanky Omotesando dori since its multi-storey flagship store, designed by Japanese architecture practice SANAA, opened its doors little over two decades ago. During the retail space’s temporary closure for renovations, the Paris-based fashion house has inaugurated a new standalone boutique a few blocks down the road at the Tokyu Plaza Omotesando building. Occupying two levels, the store interior, created by the brand’s in-house design team, sees a series of sophisticated settings, all inspired by the Dior flagship store on avenue Montaigne in the French capital. The chosen palette features an infusion of white and beige, and is decorated with the Dior‘s iconic Cannage motif. The new Dior store carries women’s and men’s apparel, accessories, shoes, bags, small leather goods, shoes and eyewear. In celebration of the opening, the store also offers a special women’s sweater with a Dior Star motif designed by Italian artist Pietro Ruffo. For men, there’s a Dior Icons capsule collection designed by Kim Jones. © superfuture
