Resalta’s new office in Ljubljana by VI-ZO architecture & design and Van-ark Design creates a green, innovative space fostering collaboration and well-being through open layouts and biophilic elements.
Resalta, a leading decarbonization-as-a-service provider in Central and Eastern Europe, has relocated to a new, unified space to accommodate its growing workforce and enhance collaboration. The project aimed to consolidate all employees onto one floor while creating a green, innovative workplace that fosters creativity. The design encourages collaboration, well-being, productivity, and a sense of belonging, optimizing the office’s functional layout.
The new premises span 610 m² and are located in the Crystal Palace in Ljubljana. The layout facilitates improved cooperation and faster information flow, featuring a flexible open space organized into bays around closed support areas. This allows for individual work units within a cohesive environment.
Key features of the space include a central lounge and cafeteria, various meeting and conference rooms, work booths, quiet rooms, a printer area, and an aquarium. Permanent workstations are strategically positioned around the perimeter to maximize natural light, complemented by a social area, kitchen, and video conference room on the south side.
Despite the open design, excellent acoustics have been achieved through the use of acoustic flooring and ceiling elements, including baffles, acoustic nets, and perforated ceilings. To minimize costs, many existing office furnishings, such as chairs, desks, and storage units, were repurposed. Additionally, the incorporation of biophilic design elements enhances employee well-being, creating a vibrant and inspiring work environment.
