Almost two years ago, NORTVI. stepped into the limelight with its first retail space in the historic Canal District of Amsterdam. The Dutch sustainable luggage brand has now expanded its retail operations by opening up shop in Berlin‘s buzzing Mitte district. The interior design sees a renewed collaboration with S-P-A-C-E Projects, a design practice based in the Dutch capital, and similarly, the chosen aesthetic takes cues from the poetic language of travel. The setting is characterised by minimalism and soft rounded curves, captured by a restrained yet warm material palette comprising walnut, travertine, and brushed metal. An elongated and recessed display wall in warm timber sees six backlit windows resembling not only an airplane fuselage or train compartment, but also resonate with the shape of NORTVI.‘s luggage collection. Directly opposite, a decorative stuccoed wall is situated, tiered at the base, but in reverse at the very top, adding a bold element of elegance to the store setting. At the back, an additional, more industrial suitcase display and wall-mounted timber product display balance out the merchandise presentation. The new NORTVI. store carries the brand’s full range of suitcases, bags, and accessories. © superfuture
