Senlan Office – A Contemporary Square for Work and Community

Inspired by the concept of the “square” as a space for gathering and exchange, Senlan Office in Gaoqiao, Pudong (Shanghai), redefines the traditional work environment. Designed by UMA Design, the project embraces the “joint office” model, turning the workspace into a flexible, green, and people-centered hub.

In a time where information sharing and cross-industry collaboration are essential, Senlan responds with a spatial model based on openness, interaction, and well-being. The 4th and 5th floors are designed to meet the evolving needs of different users, offering dynamic layouts and adaptable zones.

The reception welcomes guests with natural wood textures and soft lighting, leading into open spaces that encourage exploration. Shared areas – such as the book bar and coffee bar – echo the idea of a modern urban square: places to relax, connect, and recharge.

Independent yet interconnected, the spaces foster multi-dimensional interaction and reshape workplace relationships. Elements like the preserved industrial ceiling, flexible furniture, and an intelligent office system support both functionality and human experience.

Senlan Office transforms the office into a living environment, where communication, trust, and sharing thrive — a true contemporary square for the modern working community.
