This branding and packaging project was created to elevate SARA, a premium bottarga, through a refined and contemporary visual identity rooted in Mediterranean heritage. The design blends tradition and modernity, using geometric patterns inspired by ancestral symbols and craftsmanship, reinterpreted with a minimalist and elegant approach.
Deep blue tones evoke the sea and the notion of time, while subtle metallic details and tactile finishes reinforce the product’s premium positioning. Die-cut windows reveal the bottarga itself, creating an honest and sensory connection between the packaging and the product. Every detail—from typography to material choices—was carefully considered to enhance perceived value and storytelling.
The project was developed following a Data to Emotion approach. Consumer insights, market analysis, and premium category codes informed the strategic design decisions, ensuring relevance and differentiation. These data-driven insights were then translated into an emotional visual language, transforming rational information into a strong, sensorial brand experience.
The result is a distinctive and authentic packaging system that connects cultural heritage with contemporary design, creating a meaningful emotional bond between the product and its audience.
