Ottica Gambirasi
Project and photo by Mise Design Studio
Area: 50 m2
Year: 2026
For over thirty years, Ottica Gambirasi has been a local landmark for the residents of Mogliano Veneto in the province of Treviso. Today, the business is facing a generational handover, which it has proudly chosen to tackle by completely revamping the look of its retail space. The real challenge was to combine the charm and heritage of a historic space with a strongly contemporary vision of retail design; from this synergy emerged a project based on a precise spatial concept, designed to engage and welcome the customer. Upon entering, the eye is drawn towards the back of the shop thanks to the mirrored geometry of the side shelves which, with their integrated LED lighting, showcase the eyewear collection to its fullest advantage. The main focal point of the space is the cash desk: a sculptural element that encapsulates the entire material palette of the project, combining the warmth of oak with the modernity of satin-finished steel, complemented by the distinctive touch of the Rigà tiles in a forest green finish by Cimento©. The overall atmosphere plays on contrasts and harmony: the clean lines of the furnishings interact with the warm, textured plasterwork, highlighted by well-defined geometric beams of light. It is a project which, taken as a whole, demonstrates how interior architecture can deeply connect the past and the present, at the same time, managing to project the brand into the future.
