Mr Egg Jakarta is the extension for the existing Mr Egg brand. Originally based in Bali, Mr Egg expanded into Blok M in Jakarta, a bustling urban spot that looks to feed off of the raw urban environment that surrounds it.

Our client wanted a flexible space that could be used for brunch in the late morning and become a cultural hot-spot for nightime use. This 24hr setting informed the design of Mr Egg: Bare concrete walls are softened by a warm walnut wood wainscott, the bar extends outwards from the kitchen and is divided into a daytime section and a nighttime section.

The lighting evolves and morphs from a bright, daytime setting to a moody almost cabaret feeling at night. Allowing the interior to transform from day to night.
