Award winning design firm Morris Selvatico where approached to design Tap, an espresso and salad bar located in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. Great coffee, with several specialty bean varieties and cold drip is their main focus and point of difference. Every cup is executed with precision so it was mandatory that the interior design supported this ethos.

Situated in the upmarket Channel 7 lobby, it was our intention to create a space that would contrast the stark surrounds. Exposed aggregate polished concrete flooring, raw brick, rust tiles and brass signage form the base palette. Smooth finished oak timber was laid on an angle to add a slight edginess to the overall look, while white gloss tiles highlight the main bar area.

A mixture of different seating creates an eclectic feel while the hanging pots add just the right amount of greenery to lift the entire mood. Hand painted menu boards by local artist Phoebe Bakker, adds the finishing touch.
