Inspired by the art of the traditional hand-made hydraulic floor tiles which were commonly used in Andalusian “cortijos” (farmhouses) of the 19th and 20th centuries, Buenaventura crafted a design language which enriched this new packaging set for the Extra Virgin Olive Oil range of Cortijo Abades, a brand of premium fine foods of Andalusian (Southern Spain) origin.
The challenge was to be able to merge the ideas of tradition and origin with a modern and distinctive design which would eventually step away from the crowded mass. With this brand restyling and packaging design, we managed to level the consumer’s experience of tasting this impressive EVOO with experience of buying an also unique and distinctive piece of art.
