The brief – Irish Life wanted to create an original and fun break out room in their head office in Lower Abbey Street, Dublin 1. The brief was to create a fun, colourful and playful area for staff to take a break from the day to day stresses of work. The name ‘the hive’ was the only requirement made by the client.
Solution- The resulting design was inspired by geometry, and mid-century modern design, with energetic colours playing a large role in the creative process.
Within the room, three zones were created. The first was an entertainment area with games consoles, TV’s and seating.The second zone was focused around two bespoke mid-century modern style
