In 1734, the Van Bommel family of Breda, the Netherlands, started producing hand-made quality shoes. Presently, the brothers Reynier, Floris and Pepijn van Bommel are the 9th generation to run the family business. The knowledge that passed from father to son is still applied today in the manufacturing process of Van Bommel shoes. Since 1952, Van Bommel has been Purveyor to the Royal Household by Appointment.
Schoenfabriek van Bommel carries a total of 3 brands – its traditional ‘Van Bommel’ brand, consisting of a wide range of classic luxury shoe designs, the ‘Noble Blue’ premium brand with its entirely hand-made exclusive shoes, and the ‘Floris van Bommel’ sub brand. The ‘Floris van Bommel’ brand was created by one of the 9th generation Van Bommel brothers who are currently running the company. The ‘Floris van Bommel’ brand is a high-quality collection of fashionable and sportive shoes.
