Chalk Studio‘s new headquarters in Gurugram is designed to promote creativity and collaboration with a tabula rasa concept, featuring unique meeting rooms and open-plan cabins with curved glass partitions. Chalk Studio’s new headquarters, unveiled by Priyanka Singh, epitomizes the studio’s dynamic design philosophy on Gurgaon’s 20th-floor commercial complex. Inspired by the transformative nature of chalk, the office embraces a tabula rasa concept, fostering creativity and collaboration. The design process, marked by collaboration and over two dozen iterations, results in a balanced workspace, dissolving rigid hierarchies.
The reception area showcases warmth with fluted EvoWood panels and Statuario marble flooring. Meeting rooms feature bespoke designs, such as a round Neolith tile table and a meditation/scream room concealed behind a pocket door. The studio head’s cabin, overlooking urban views, combines herringbone flooring, Corian Quartz desk, and a curated backdrop. The workstation bay promotes collaboration with a designer’s hub and wall-anchored ledge seating. Open-plan cabins for senior officials, inspired by Studio 13 Architects, feature curved glass partitions in clear, pink, and blue finishes.
A material and catalog library, archives room, and auxiliary spaces are strategically placed. The office design reflects Chalk Studio’s collaborative culture, breaking spatial and mental divisions. It pays homage to the Chalk Studio Tribe, fostering a commitment to immaculate design for years to come.
