Saint of Athens and ICD Designers present FUDDY DUDDY, a unique pizza takeout store located in the heart of Athens, Greece. This petite store reimagines the street pizza experience with its innovative pizza cones, designed to be bigger, crustier, and more filling than traditional pizza slices. The store’s design reflects a nostalgic, comforting atmosphere, integrating retro-styled elements to create a welcoming environment. The store’s interior features symmetrical geometry reminiscent of 1950s American diners. Bold color combinations, straight lines, and old-fashioned curves define the space, providing a balance between modern and classic design. The visual inspiration draws from Wes Anderson’s retro-colored universe and Edward Hopper’s urban window lines.
Efficient Design Meets Playful Nostalgia at FUDDY DUDDY Diner
The clean, straightforward layout enhances functionality within the small kitchen space, facilitating easy employee flow and seamless customer service. The design ensures an efficient working environment while maintaining the store’s aesthetic appeal. Quirky handmade illustrations of pizza-cone riders and skaters adorn the brand’s packaging and collaterals, adding a playful touch to the store’s geometry. Saint of Athens and ICD Designers focus on details to lighten the overall design and emphasize the fun aspect of the FUDDY DUDDY brand. As customers wait for their pizza cones, they experience a space that feels like a scene from a film. The mint blue counter and nostalgic ambiance create a visually appealing and memorable environment, enhancing the overall dining experience at FUDDY DUDDY.
