Fashion brand ZUCCa is well-established in the Land of the Rising Sun, but continues to find room for growth. As of late, the company has inaugurated a second shop-in-shop in Osaka‘s bustling Umeda district, and this time, it’s on the premises of Hanshin Umeda department store. The interior design sees a renewed collaboration with architecture and design practice Moment. Similar to other retail spaces created for ZUCCa, this shop-in-shop features a design-led setting. Here, a backdrop of inflated steel plates form a bold yet striking backdrop. Although hung in a rigid configuration, each steel plate bears unforeseen, individual distortions and wrinkles, creating a subtle visual disorder in the retail setting. The configuration is overlaid with a wall-mounted metal rail which presents garments from ZUCCa‘s newest women’s and men’s collections. Additional furnishings comprise a large tiered display table and two smaller display units in a contrasting white hue. © superfuture
