Studio27’s Invengene Corporate Headquarters in Mumbai redefines workplace culture by prioritizing employee well-being, blending open spaces with expressive design elements to foster collaboration and accessibility.

Envisioned as the corporate headquarters for the same client whose Research & Development workspace we designed, this 3500 sq.ft. office builds on a shared ethos—placing employee wellbeing at the centre of every decision.

The brief was clear and unwavering: to design a workplace that supports how people work today, while anticipating how they will work tomorrow.

From the outset, the space resists the tropes of a stereotypical pharma office. Cool, graphic signage layered against warm brick surfaces set the tone—grounded yet expressive. Playful ceilings and terrazzo flooring introduce rhythm and movement, while the senior executive’s cabin embraces a bold, personality-driven palette—quietly breaking free from conventional, copy-paste office modules.

The planning is open and fluid, shaped around breakout zones, informal booths, and sleek, futuristic phone pods. It is a workplace that adapts to its users, rather than asking them to conform.

A defining gesture lies in the democratization of light. The only corner window is not reserved for a cabin, but for the cafeteria—an intentional move that speaks volumes about the founders’ priorities. In contrast, the reception—devoid of natural light—is reimagined with a skylight, ensuring it feels just as considered, open, and welcoming.

Subtly but decisively, the design works to dissolve hierarchies—fostering a culture of accessibility, collaboration, and shared ownership of space.

If luxury in residential design is often expressed through materiality, here it is defined by intent. The value system of the organisation becomes the true marker of richness—shaping an environment that feels generous, equitable, and enduring.

A quiet, lasting luxury—where strong values, deeply embedded, give rise to organisations that last.
