Ever since it first opened its doors in Milan as a concept store, 10 Corso Como has resonated with a demographic from near and far that appreciates the quirky mix of fashion, lifestyle and art offerings curated by its in-the-know founder Carla Sozzani. Since 2020, the concept store is owned and helmed by Tiziana Fausti, a seasoned fashion entrepreneur who not only upholds the legendary concept store’s legacy and forward vision, but also sees room for expansion. As a result, a new 10 Corso Como retail space has just been inaugurated in one of the most sophisticated shopping destinations in the Far East—Taipei. Fausti and her team secured a spacious ground floor unit at Breeze Center, one of the leading upscale shopping centres of Taiwan‘s capital city. Situated right next to the boutiques of Saint Laurent, Alexander Wang. and LOEWE, the retail space of 10 Corso Como sees an interior design by Italian architecture and design practice DAAA Haus that’s adorned by three site-specific installations of imperfettolab, a creative studio from Italy‘s Emilia Romagna region. Very much a collaborative effort, the installation comprises two monolithic black sculptures, reminiscent of large-sized stones and an even more robust reddish-brown equivalent, that resonate with both the architecture and flow of shoppers. Mind you, some of the stones also serve as seating or displays, reflecting the design studio’s exploration intentional interplay of form and function, while their hybrid presence also aims to underpin 10 Corso Como‘s sophisticated retail concept. Similar to the legendary Milanese mothership, the new 10 Corso Como store in Taipei effortlessly blends high-end retail with art, design and a rotation of in-store cultural events. As for retail part, the store currently offers a curated selection of almost 50 international brands. © superfuture
