Popular social commerce site LivingSocial recently upgraded their London office space with the help of The Interiors Group. Located in the West End, the office acts as the company’s UK headquarters. Spread out over two floors, the office has a variety of meeting rooms and breakout spaces. The designers worked to create a lively and modern environment. In doing so, elements like artificial grass, stylised clouds, fuzzy pink carpet and eye-catching graphics were added to client meeting rooms. One casual seating area is even set up like a beach lounge.
Employee workstations are bullpen style and paired with lovely Herman Miller Sayl chairs. LivingSocial UK’s managing director notes that, “LivingSocial is a unique place to work and it was important to us that this was reflected in our office design. We aim to surprise and delight our customers, and that mantra extends to our employees too. We believe work should be fun, and so our bright, open-plan offices are built to inspire creativity and reward hard work.”
“The Interiors Group helped to provide the fun by creating a breakout space where the staff can enjoy ping pong, table-football, a games console and a quintessentially British pint of beer in the office’s very own pub. The second floor is predominantly comprised of open plan office space, with a school-room style training space, kitchen area and picnic-themed breakout space. In the training room, classroom seating, a rustic oak effect vinyl floor, a vintage teachers desk and chair with a back drop of a chalkboard make up the ‘Institute of Whaleology’.”
