Wonderwall has created a new concept store for Express retail chain in King of Prussia Mall. The design concept used for Express is a refined chic that creates an individual space via forward-thinking design. Style is showcased throughout the 13,000-sq.-ft. retail space, dividing key categories and outfitting according to gender.
A central goal for Express was to alter the way that their customers feel about denim, a dual-gender Denim Lab was created, which features an oak wood ceiling and suspended trellis in aged timber; a polished concrete floor; and outrigger mounted wood shelves that are framed by black velvet curtains. Wooden merchandise tables have black accents that are accentuated through the use of a 100 silver, globe-shaped LED light installation, giving consumers a unique shopping experience.
Mashamachi Katayama, founder of Wonderwall, says in a statement, “I was delighted when Express invited me to create a new design concept. I envisioned a three-dimensional fashion magazine; a source for the new and for the must-have’s.”
