Broome Street newcomer Pas de Calais may have a French name, but its roots are purely Japanese. The first international location for the brand debuted late last week in Soho, with a party DJed by Alexa Chung and a ton of sake.
What makes Pas de Calais stand out amongst other high-end, minimalist labels is its dedication to DIY: according to the website, all of the textiles are original, and they’re made from “traditional dyeing and advanced techniques used with cotton, linen and silk”—so you won’t find one of their prints buried at a place like Mood.
