The Bank of Georgetown Ellington Branch is a bright green retail space that continues the branding identity developed by CORE for the bank. It is located on the vibrant U Street Corridor in Washington DC. The branch pays homage to the historic jazz neighborhood with larger-than-life photomurals of pianist Duke Ellington who once lived in the area. In keeping with our philosophy of ecological design, CORE preserved over fifty percent of the original tenant construction, conserving both resources and money. In essence the branch nicely harmonizes the past history of the neighborhood while setting an example for the future.
