With a number of stores already located in Sydney’s CBD, existing food retailer Mero Mero appointed design firm Morris Selvatico to create their very first on-street location. The site that was once a basement car park located on Kent Street Sydney was converted into three retail tenancies, one being the new home to Mero Mero.

The classic Mero Mero finishes were implemented to create brand continuity along with washed back concrete walls, custom printed mosaic tiles and a full width shopfront with operable windows to engage passing traffic and create a presence along the streetscape. The existing concrete from the former car park was ground back and polished in order to retained as the floor finish. Rustic sleepers clad the counter front with thick slabs of Nero Marquina marble forming the benchtop. Illuminated steel signage is off set from the milk washed recycled brick and the infamous Mero Mero spread of salad ingredients takes centre stage inside the custom made glass display unit.
