Iran national pavilion at Venice Architecture Biennale 2016, Venice – Italy

The pavilion is designed based on a representation of urban schemata of buildings in a reverse order stretched from the ceiling to the walls and parts of the floor. The form is chosen in order to manifest the reverse process of reviving these residential areas and neighborhoods.

Quiksilver Young Men’s Store by Clive Wilkinson Architects, Costa Mesa – California

Designed as an undulating wooden tunnel, swelling surfaces create a variety of display areas providing shelving and integrated lighting. Where the form of the rolling walls and ceilings refer to the surfer on the ocean waves, the materialization evokes the environment of surfing on the land: skateboarding.

The simplicity and scale of the three top and bottom plinths serve as a monumental backdrop for the suspended elements in between that came in and out of focus through the movement between the plinths.
