Children’s department by Koncept Stockholm at Åhléns City, Stockholm – Sweden

February 25th, 2015 by retail design blog

We stumble across the footprints of a bear that leads us into the children’s section of Åhléns. A fantasy world of toys, kids clothing and interior decoration on packed shelves and tables. Under the tabletops we find the wild animals of the forrest, all in bright colors. Perfect for playing hide-and-seek. Colorful, swirling pillars help us keeping track of where we are. Finally, when we reach the bright red tills that resemble giant building blocks, the accompanying 5-year old whisper: ”Can we stay a little bit longer…” Åhléns City’s new, refurbished children’s department in Stockholm is an easily-to-navigate one-stop-shop for adults and a wonderland of inspiration for children. After exploring there’s time for a healthy snack on the new playful and play-friendly terrace.
