Green Room designed the 260 sqm exhibition stand for Oakley at this year’s ISPO exhibition in Munich 3-6 February. ISPO is one of the leading Sport and Outdoor trade shows in the world bringing more than 2,000 exhibitors and 80,000 trade-only visitors to Germany. The space facilitated a variety of customer journeys, including a welcoming reception for appointments and follow-up meetings, a variety of formal and informal consultation areas, a bar area to socialize and relax, and meeting rooms for trading business.
Naturally the stand was also a product and brand showcase with a powerful communication of brand, eyewear and apparel stories. Our creative inspiration was informed by Oakley’s philosophy of ‘science meets art’ which was brought to life through our designs and a materials palette of concrete floor, titanium coated metal furniture, gabion (rocks in wire mesh) and glass cabinet surfaces.
We incorporated two window displays to interrupt, entice and educate passing footfall, used pro rider (sponsored ski and boarder) personalities to build buzz and create stories and created highly-focused product areas which included eyewear, goggles, apparel (Pro Rider Series), footwear and accessories. The use of Oakley ‘art’ helped to reinforce the brand’s design vision (goggle art and print details) and the Oakley technology area helped customer to connect with and further understand the innovation behind the product ranges.
