Not your average restaurant, not your average customer. With leather marbled surfaces, pony hair on the bar façade, and Tuscan plastered ceilings, you know there is a level of investment that has not gone unnoticed. Jackson Wynne was commissioned to capture the look and feel of this environment and translate it into a distinct brand.

We had a wealth of creative partners to bounce ideas off to help forge the unique and off beat designs for 7 Enoteca. From conception we brought 7 Enoteca together as one of the hottest spots to wine & dine in downtown Oakville.

To create a brand that worked with the vision of a Capri inspired grotto off the Amalfi coast. Exclusive, private, charming, and old world were the initial thoughts that came to mind. Our challenge was to ensure we focused on being less conventional in bringing attention to a restaurant, while bordering on conceptual art deco inspiration we started with.

Taking cues from vintage art deco pieces and font treatments, we collected a myriad of inspiration from old posters and photographs. We also gathered collateral that we knew didn’t represent the vision of the restaurant to ensure we stayed the course.

In the end we developed a sleek and simple logo with a concrete brand direction to carry them forward. Located on the door pulls, the subtle design of the logo is the only character on the buildings façade. Mysterious but unavoidable when entering.

Updating a seasonal menu is one thing, a daily menu is another. Several concepts were explored and many solutions presented. Updating and printing inhouse was recommended for speedy turnaround and daily specials. We explored several directions including inserts, double sided and menu cover options. Tying together the whole brand from signage, web to menus was important.

What happens when you buy one too many bottles of fine wine or want to take it with you? What about wine you can’t normally find at the liquor store? Pop in or take out your wine to go. Carrying through the 7 experience, we developed several options for take out. Take a slice of 7 home with you.
