El Fabuloso is one of the most exclusive bars in Bogota. It is all made of wood structured in a rare form that is intented as an entirely acoustic element. Located at a rooftop on a building locates in one of Bogota’s busiest and most exclusive streets. The principalidea of the project became with the idea of having a picnic in a 7th floor, the idea of celebrate the sun, celebrate the sunset. So that is why the project is designed as a large wooden basket that contains different atmospheres that the costumers can discover as they walk thru.

El Fabuloso also has several terraces that work as lookouts to several parts of the city with a different atmosphere that you can get inside. Each terrace contains different elements that combined with the facade can be understood as a landscape.

The celling is designed in wood because this material have the characteristic of giving to the sound a major color, a better quality than another element can. Also it contains several heights that not only look good but also responds to the sound waves to optimize the acousticsto the different zones of the place and can manage the sound to make a better feeling for the costumer.

Besides the wooden basket, El fabuloso also counts with a restaurant that contains an open kitchenthat have as a central spot a wooden oven that gives to the restaurant a more chill feeling that you will have inside the bar. All the interiors are made in rustic elements, we don’t like the “look like” materials, so that’s why in this projects you can find metal as it is, wood as it is and concrete as it is. The hole place is thought as the use of rustic materials or elements in a modern way. It is a exploration of the traditional materials so we can learn from them.
