Behind the scenes: Martin Morales, restaurateur and chef, who’s passionate about healthy cuisine from the Peruvian Andes, plus his head chef Tomasz Baranski. Morales is returning to his old stomping ground, as he says “I used to live and work in Shoreditch and so wanted to create a special restaurant here; one which serves exciting food with both tradition and nutrition, and presents something new without following trends, just following what we believe in.”

The concept: Inspired by a traditional Andean house, the interior of this all-day restaurant is a collaboration between Morales, Schneider Designers and Here Design. Set over two floors, the ground floor features an open kitchen and communal dining area, plus private dining Games Room. The basement showcases the main dining room with a Ceviche Bar for dining and the Pisco & Chicha Bar serving drinks. Andina is wrought with contemporary design mixed with traditional Andean handcrafted textures, like wicker lamps and brightly coloured wall hangings.
