Basalte, the Belgian manufacturer of design products for home automation, recently opened its first flagship store in China. This is a new milestone for the young and fast-growing smart home company. The store is located in Cofco Plaza (Beijing), an impressive shopping mall housing all kinds of interior design stores. There were numerous guests attending the inauguration of the first Basalte store, including the Belgian ambassador Mr. Michel Malherbe and of course Ray Bing, the managing director of Basalte China. This brand new showroom allows visitors to discover and experience all the Basalte products.

The store is subdivided in different areas, each presenting another Basalte product category such as the multi room audio system Asano, the iPad frame collection Eve and of course Basalte’s well-known switches and thermostat Sentido and Deseo. Basalte designs products for KNX systems and creates unique user experiences for the modern home. The company was founded in 2008 and has grown into an international player that is now active in more than 50 countries worldwide. Basalte was already known in China, but now extends its brand awareness on the Chinese market by opening this first Basalte showroom in Beijing.
