CannonDesign designed the new offices of University HealthSystems Consortium located in Chicago, Illinois.

CannonDesign relocated the association from a suburban office park to a high-rise with expansive views of downtown Chicago. The move was the result of the CEO’s desire to significantly bolster UHC’s image, and strengthen its ability to recruit members and staff.

The new headquarters is a hub for its members and the theme of connection—specifically as it relates to systems of the body—is at the core of our design vision. Evoking firing synapses and neural connections, aesthetically our design makes allusions to these systems, while physically the workplace is created to foster collaboration for UHC’s staff and its membership.
