Located inside the McNamara Terminal of the Detroit Metro Airport, Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant is a refreshing approach to an airport brew pub. Amplifying the typical pub environment, Gordon Biersch is contemporary and visually interesting. Taking cues from the brand mark, the space is punctuated by detailed wood screens with the stylized ôwheatö graphic from the brand mark. These graphic screens are strong visual cues to the brand while creating a sense of place for the travelers dining in the space.

The space integrates both light and dark wood finishes for added warmth and texture. Wall panels with a patina metal style finish create drama in contrast to the wood finishes. Contemporary patterned fabrics for booth seating and accent lighting contribute as sense of playfulness throughout the space. The layout allows for a variety of ways for the traveler to interact and engage with the space. Whether relaxing before a flight at the bar or sitting down to pub style fare. At the bar highlighted by the wood slat ceiling element travelers will find multiple monitors for the catching latest news and sporting events.
