NEW BRAND IDENTITY FOR REVOL’S NEW STRATEGY
For more than 200 years, Revol Porcelain has been conceiving and creating its products in Saint-Uze in the Drôme region. Today, Revol is becoming an international Brand acknowledge by professionals and individuals for the quality of its products and its creativity.

Within this dynamic, Generous consultancy guided Revol through a strategic journey leading to the establishment of a renewed brand DNA, its historical references and its characteristic boldness – a key factor along the brand history. Generous conceived Revol’s positioning strategy and all its creative incarnations. A global brand project for a complete answer taking into account both BtoB and BtoC markets.

THE CHALLENGE
To go beyond a heritage of craftsmanship and anchor the brand into a creative and bold universe providing inspiration for chef and hobbie-cooks.

1.REDEFINING THE BRAND’S VALUES
Guided by Generous, Revol renews its values resonating deeply with the company, its history and its daily operations.

2.A NEW STRATEGY EMBODIED WITHIN A NEW BRAND SIGNATURE
OUR LEITMOTIF: DARE!
Dare to combine the simplicity of design with new features. Dare to transgress the usual codes of the arts of the table. Dare new ways of cooking, arranging and serving dishes. Dare new materials, textures or finishes that little by little become integrated into current codes. Dare original forms that nevertheless retain their usefulness. Dare to seduce without being banal or trying too hard.
Dare your style: cook who you are!

3.A NEW LOGO INSPIRED BY THE PORCELAIN-MAKERS CRAFTSMANSHIP
First designed to be a seal of quality, the logo represents the key to Revol’s recognition throughout the world. The R is the emblem of a strong brand that lives up to its sophistication and ambitions, combining two sets of expertise, Food Service, and Retail.
The date 1768, visible upon closer inspection, inscribes Revol in its history and showcases the expertise and unique journey of our brand.

4.TO SHAKE UP THE TRADITIONAL CODES
A maverick illustrated graphic universe
Taking the opposite view of the classic photographical graphic direction, Generous conceived with the Danish artist Mads Berg illustrated frescos: a dance of fruits and vegetables.
With Revol, we dare colors, spontaneous associations… Creativity and freedom stand for the starting point of the culinary adventure. Brochures, bags, websites will wear this image.

THE « MADE IN FRANCE » LABEL
Faced with international competition, Generous designs a unique Made In France label for Revol as a coat of arms displaying the paintbrush used by color technicians and the clay knife embodying the quality hand finish.

REVOL IN AMBIENTE TRADE FAIR
Within the frame of a global brand approach, Generous conceived the furniture design, the space planning and the space styling of the booth in Ambiente: a 110m2 showcased in Francfort from the 12th to the 16th of February.

« Cook Your Style » – The new brand signature written by Generous is embodied throughout the entire visitor’s journey. A frame underlines dramatizations evoking different styles and gastronomic moments: naturals, poetics, neo-classics, or creatives…
An oversized chair at the entrance is used as a blackboard and invites guest to discover daily new culinary creations cooked on site by a chef.

Revolving around a fully-active central kitchen, Revol’s product ranges are showcased on clear wooden tables especially designed by Generous. In the background, a bookcase is used to showcase plaster molds thus evoking that Revol has been turning clay into porcelain for more 200 years. In addition, as Revol dares to shake the traditional codes linked with tableware, Generous designed tables carved into raw trunks and displayed mismatched chairs around them.
