Every each desk lamp made from bicycle parts is unique because individual owners customize the lamp by playing with the colour of the spare parts.

Spare parts such as brake levers, grips, Bowden cable housing and stem available in 10 different colours to compliment any interior, including kiwi lime green, strawberry smoothie and chocolate brown. The customizer site allows you to combine your favourite colours for an even more personal experience. The economic LED bulb can be switched on and off with a gentle pull of the brake levers.

Peter Belso’s designers comment: “In the short term, we aim to offer our customers different shapes such as road bike bars and brake levers or vintage style and develop the customizer platform where people can combine every style with every colour. Longer term, we want to create a wider range of products such as pendant lamps or wall lamps. It is a fusion of our lamp design concept with people’s own ideas to create something entirely new. This is our definition of product design.”

In the aim of sharing this innovation with the design-conscious audience, Peter founded Industrial Kid with two friends to improve the original design and launch the bike desk lamp internationally. Thanks to this successful collaboration, the bike desk lamp is available on the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform. Thanks to the interest of the backers Industrial Kid raised 44% of the goal in 2 days. The campaign will run until 8 April, 2016. Bike me home Follow Bike me home campaign on Indiegogo and stay connected via social networks.
